RAK Medical & Health Sciences University (RAKMHSU) has been set up under the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. It is the first comprehensive Health Science University in the UAE that is fully managed by the Government of Ras Al Khaimah. 

RAKMHSU offers higher education degrees in the fields of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and nursing through its four Colleges: RAK College of Medical Sciences, RAK College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, RAK College of Nursing and RAK College of Dental Sciences.

All our programs have been fully accredited locally by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) under the Ministry of Education. Also, RAKMHSU is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS), hence it is internationally accredited. In addition to that, our Doctor of Medicine (MD) program is accredited by World Federation of Medical Education (WFME) and Bachelor of Pharmacy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), USA. Our Dental and Nursing programs are also under process for international accreditation. 

From the humble beginning with 22 students in 2006, RAKMHSU has grown remarkably well, now having more than 1220 students from about 50 different Nationalities. Similarly, RAKMHSU is proud to have 110 teaching faculty members, 120 non-teaching staff members and 125 adjunct faculty members hailing from 32 different countries. 

RAKMHSU is fortunate to have matching physical and infrastructure facilities such as classrooms, multipurpose laboratories, art-of state library as well as the sports complex. In addition, the RAK College of Dental Sciences has a state of art building with all the ultra-modern dental services facilities.
